Founding farm applications are open for the Plainfield–Brownsburg pilot. Request an in-person meeting

Built locally

Make local food practical enough to become a habit.

Acre & Home exists to make buying from nearby independent American farms feel as clear and dependable as a normal grocery routine.

Founder

Dalton Smith

A 21-year-old Army veteran with 3.5 years of service and a sales background, building Acre & Home from Plainfield, Indiana.

Dalton has 3.5 years of Army service and a background in high-pressure, relationship-driven sales. His role in the pilot is not simply to code an app. It is to earn trust with farmers, listen to how their businesses work, recruit local customers, and keep the first version focused on measurable results.

Acre & Home is being developed with a disciplined principle: do not spend heavily or scale geographically until one local community repeatedly uses the service.

Operating principles

How Acre & Home intends to earn trust.

🎯

Concentrate first

Serve one small radius well enough that shoppers see useful selection and farms see repeat demand.

🧾

Tell the truth

No fake partner logos, inflated order numbers, hidden charges, or promises the operation cannot fulfill.

🌱

Grow from evidence

Add products, delivery, and new towns only after real usage shows what customers and farms need.

The mission

More local food dollars reaching local producers.

The long-term opportunity is bigger than a farm map. A useful local commerce network could help independent farms reach households, restaurants, and organizations without losing their identity inside a national grocery platform.

“The first win is simple: help a nearby family place a repeat order with a nearby farm.”
— Acre & Home launch principle

Build the pilot with us

Shoppers create demand. Farms create supply. Trust connects both.
